Lesley Lukens

They always say, "Mother knows best," and for me that old saying holds fast and true.  I was just starting classes at Orange Coast College in Southern California and it was my Mom who suggested taking photography when I was searching for units to fill my schedule.  She said, "Lesley, it's in your blood!"  You see, I have a very talented and artistic family.  So as horrified as I was to be following my Mom's advice, I bit my lip and signed up for the class.  By the end of my first day, I knew I had discovered my passion. 

My love and excitement for photography led me to Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photography.  I had every family member model for me over the years during school.  You know, during the "technical" stages.  Their patience is amazing!

So where is my studio?  Well, its anywhere you need me to be. Anywhere you are most comfortable and relaxed.  From the Inland Empire to Orange County to the outskirts of L.A.  It is all about "you" the client.  The experiences of having your portrait made should be an exciting and memorable event.  My sessions are "play time" at its best.

And now here I am; married with two amazing kids who are bursting with personality and creativity which makes each day a new adventure.  They are my inspiration and my best guinea pigs for new ideas.  My children have been known to run when Mom gets that burst of "why not" and the sparkle in her eyes.  I have an amazing set of family photo albums and a huge desire for more wall space.
